Consultations on a potential Canada-Philippines free trade agreement

On December 5, 2024, Canada and the Philippines announced the launch of exploratory discussions for a potential bilateral free trade agreement (FTA).

Following the announcement the Government of Canada launched a consultation seeking the views of Canadian businesses, industry associations, provinces and territories, and the general public.

These consultations are meant to help the Government of Canada determine how to best proceed regarding the negotiation of a possible FTA with the Philippines.

All interested parties are invited to submit their views by March 7, 2025.
