Preliminary dumping determination issued by CBSA on oil and gas well casing from Austria

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) made a preliminary determination of dumping concerning oil and gas well casing originating in or exported from Austria.

Following the CBSA determination the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) initiated an inquiry to determine whether the dumping has caused injury or retardation, or is threatening to cause injury to Canadian industry and will issue its decision by September 1, 2026.

Imports of subject goods released by the CBSA on or after May 4, 2026, will not be subject to provisional duty as the CBSA considers that the imposition of provisional duty is not necessary at this time to prevent injury, retardation or threat of injury.
